Sucre Monument

Peruvian sculptor David Lozano Lobatón, realized equestrian monument of Marshal Antonio José de Sucre in 1924, situated in the same name square.

Antonio José de Sucre, Venezuelan soldier, ran the last battle of the America Independence: Battle of Ayacucho, on December 9th, 1824, fought independents under the command of Sucre general contrary to royalist soldiers that were defeated at one o'clock in the afternoon in Pampa of Quinua.
